Knight on the Town is an Atari 2600 game in which players assume the role of a knight attempting to rescue a princess from a tower. The primary objective is to construct a drawbridge, piece by piece, in order to cross the moat and reach the princess.
While assembling the drawbridge, the knight must avoid various dangers, including a dragon’s fire, an alligator in the moat, and a mischievous gremlin that aims to bite off the knight’s sensitive body part. As the bridge construction progresses, the gremlin’s speed increases, making the task increasingly challenging.
The goal of the game is to successfully build the drawbridge, cross it, and climb the tower to rescue the princess in the shortest amount of time possible. Knight on the Town tests the player’s reflexes, strategy, and timing skills as they navigate the various obstacles in their quest to save the princess.
