Bachelorette Party and Burning Desire were adult-themed games released on a double-ended cartridge for the Atari 2600. These games were part of a series of adult-oriented titles produced by Mystique, a company known for its controversial X-rated games. Bachelorette Party is essentially a graphic hack of Bachelor Party with the gender roles reversed. In the game, the player controls a female character bouncing a ball to eliminate men lined up on the screen, similar to the classic Breakout gameplay. The objective is to clear all the men while avoiding obstacles and keeping the ball in play. Burning Desire presents a different kind of gameplay. The player controls a naked man hanging from a helicopter who must save his girlfriend, who is being burned as a sacrifice by natives. The player has to put out the fires by, seemingly, spitting on them. After extinguishing the fires, the player lowers their character’s erected penis, which the girlfriend holds onto with her mouth to be flown to safety. The player must avoid rocks thrown by the natives and save the girlfriend before she is completely roasted. Getting hit by a rock or taking too long will result in losing a life. These games were controversial due to their explicit content, and as a result, they were not widely available or endorsed by Atari. They were sold in limited quantities and mainly targeted at adult audiences.
