About Atari 2600 Human Cannonball

Human Cannonball is a non-military artillery-style video game released in 1979 for the Atari 2600, with the Sears version titled Cannon Man. The objective of the game is to fire a human cannonball (a man shot from a cannon) at the correct angle and speed to land him in a water tower. Players earn one point for each successful “hit” and the computer gains a point each time the player misses. The winner is the first to accumulate seven points.

There are eight different game modes available, with the primary differences between them being the ability to adjust the distance between the cannon and the tower, as well as the size of the water tower to make it easier or more challenging to hit.

Human Cannonball can be played in single-player mode or in a two-player mode where players take turns trying to hit the water tower. This game offers a unique twist on the artillery-style video game genre by incorporating non-military elements and focusing on precision and calculation.
