Racing Car

Racing Car is an obscure Atari 2600 racing cartridge released in Europe under the Home Vision label. Home Vision was a Belgian brand, used by the company VDI, for 2600 games made by the Taiwanese company Gem International Corporation. Very little is documented about this cartridge, but you can still try it here in your browser.

Gameplay

The game is seen from above, with the track running across the screen from side to side. Formula-style cars in different colours share the grey road, and you race your own car among them. No manual for the Home Vision release is known to be available online, so the exact rules and scoring are not documented.

About the Home Vision release

Racing Car was sold in PAL format for European televisions. Several Home Vision games also appeared under other names from other companies, and some were modified versions of games from other publishers. It is not known whether Racing Car was an original game or a renamed version of another cartridge. The AtariAge database lists it without a year and without a rarity rating.
