About Atari 2600 Universal Chaos

Atari 2600 Universal Chaos is an action-packed game where you pilot your battle coup through the streets of Phenix to engage and eliminate the invading Morn’ spacecraft. To start the game, follow these steps:

  1. Ensure the power switch on your Atari 2600 console is off, then plug in the Universal Chaos cartridge with the label side facing up.
  2. Turn the power switch on.
  3. Press the SELECT switch to choose either the 1 Player option (left controller) or the 2 Player option (two players alternate turns using two joysticks).
  4. Press the RESET switch to begin the game. To restart the game after losing, press the joystick fire button.

Use your joystick to control your battle coup, moving it in the desired direction (up, down, right, or left). Holding the joystick in one direction will increase your coup’s speed. Press the fire button on your joystick to fire your photon cannon at the invading Morn’ spacecraft. Keep in mind that you’ll need to wait for your prior shot to hit an enemy or obstacle before firing again.

As you destroy more enemy spacecraft, the remaining enemies become faster and harder to eliminate. Occasionally, the Mortii Warlord will appear from his secret headquarters to assess the damage you’ve caused. The faster you destroy the Warlord, the more bonus points you earn.

After completing a wave of enemy spacecraft, you’ll receive bonus points and warp to another sector of the city that requires your help. Be warned that each new wave of enemies is more skilled and challenging, so you’ll need both a solid strategy and quick reflexes to survive.

Good luck, brave pilot! The fate of Phenix rests in your hands.
