Developer: Chris Crawford

Chris Crawford programmed games at Atari before moving to the company’s 800 computers, where he made the war game Eastern Front (1941). His first project at Atari was Wizard, a 1980 maze duel against an invisible creature that you track by the sound of its heartbeat. It was written as a 2K cartridge, and when Atari decided new games should be 4K, Crawford chose not to rebuild it. The game stayed unreleased until 2005, when it appeared on the Atari Flashback 2.
