Surfer’s Paradise is a game that challenges players to stay on top of a wave for as long as possible while avoiding obstacles and enemies. The game has two distinct parts: surfing and underwater exploration.
In the surfing sequence, players must balance on their surfboard and ride the wave. Periodically, a shark will approach, and the player must jump to avoid it. Failing to do so or not maintaining balance on the wave will result in the player falling into the water.
The underwater sequence begins when the player falls into the water. The objective in this part of the game is to navigate from the left side of the screen to the right side, then back onto the surfboard. The player must overcome a sunken galleon that blocks their path, requiring them to move through a maze of walls within a limited time. Additionally, players must avoid oncoming jellyfish as they traverse the underwater landscape.
Upon reaching the surface and climbing back onto the surfboard, the game proceeds to a new, more challenging round. Scoring is based on the amount of time spent riding the wave. Players earn extra lives for every 1000 points accumulated. Surfer’s Paradise offers a unique blend of surfing and underwater action, providing an exciting and varied gameplay experience.
