In the year 2089 you drive an armoured car from city to city with a vaccine for the survivors of a comet disaster, collecting the pieces of a launch code over 32 levels. Fuel, ammunition and damage all have to be managed, and every fourth run gives you a password so you can continue later.

Which version is this?

Atari released Fatal Run only in Europe, for PAL televisions. An American NTSC version was prepared but never sold; the site also has that prototype as Fatal Run (NTSC), where you will find the full description, scoring details and history of the game. Because this is a PAL cartridge, it runs at the 50 Hz European speed and may feel slightly slower than the NTSC prototype.
