Save Our Ship (Europe)

Save Our Ship is a fast single-screen action game released for the Atari 2600 in Europe by TechnoVision in 1983. Your crew has deserted, and you alone must defend your clipper ship from pirates climbing up its sides, armed only with a cutlass. How to play Save Our Ship online

  • Run around the ship: arrow keys
  • Swing your cutlass: Space bar
  • Choose a game variation: F11 (the consoleā€™s Select switch)
  • Start the game: F12 (the consoleā€™s Reset switch)

Pirates climb four ladders around the hull. Cut each one down before he reaches the deck, because every pirate who gets aboard costs you one of your three lives. The pirates speed up as your score rises, so the game gets hectic quickly.

TechnoVisionā€™s cartridges came from Hong Kong: the manual carries the logo of Video Technology (VTech). The German mail-order company Quelle also sold the same game as Robin Hood.
