Video Pinball is a loose simulation of an arcade pinball machine: ball launcher, flippers, bumpers, and spinners. Hitting the Atari logo on the playfield four times awards an extra ball.
To play the Arcade Pinball game on Atari, you use the joystick controller to interact with the pinball machine. To launch the ball into the playfield, you need to move the joystick down to pull the plunger back and press the joystick button to shoot the ball. To control the flippers on the left and right sides of the machine, you need to move the joystick controller left or right.
You can also nudge the machine to adjust the ball’s trajectory by holding down the joystick button and moving the controller in a particular direction. However, be careful not to nudge too much, as this can result in a tilt and cause the ball to drain.
In the Sears version of the game, the title is “Arcade Pinball”.
