Developer: John Palevich

John Howard Palevich wrote Dandy, an Atari 8-bit computer game that began as his undergraduate thesis at MIT and was published by the Atari Program Exchange in 1983. Its design later influenced Atari’s arcade hit Gauntlet. On this site his work appears as Dark Chambers, the simplified reworking of Dandy that Atari Corporation released for the 2600 in 1988, with 26 levels of zombies, skeletons and treasure for one or two players.
