Developer: Tigervision

Tigervision was the games label of toy maker Tiger Electronics. The game filed under it here is Polaris, its licensed version of Taito’s 1980 arcade game, programmed by Robert H. O’Neil. You command a submarine that fires missiles at bomber squadrons, and between waves it steers through a mined channel, a stage added for the 2600. The cartridge won a Certificate of Merit for Best Action Videogame at the 1984 Arkie Awards and is rare today.
