Publisher: Taiwan
Taiwan is not a publisher but a country. In the early 1980s, Taiwanese companies made many unlicensed Atari 2600 cartridges. Some were original budget games, others were copies of existing ones, and the same game was often sold in Europe, Australia and elsewhere under several names and labels. Programmers were rarely credited, so little is known about who made these games. The four on this page show that scene:
Dragon Defender: a horizontal shooter in which you fly a dragon, sold by Ariola, Suntek, Rainbow Vision and others.
Hole Hunter: hit the rats popping out of holes with a hammer, also known as Topy and Mole Hunter.
Ski Run: an obscure winter sports cartridge, here in Suntek’s European PAL release.
