Very few new Atari 2600 cartridges came out in 1985, the year the Nintendo Entertainment System arrived in North America. Our 1985 page holds a single game: Activision’s Ghostbusters, Dan Kitchen’s 2600 conversion of David Crane’s game based on the 1984 film. It mixes running a ghost-catching business with driving and trapping ghosts. Sources date its release to between August and October 1985.
