Release date: 2001

The three games on this page are homebrews, new Atari 2600 games written by hobbyists and released on cartridge in 2001, long after the console left the shops. Allia Quest by Igor Barzilai, published by Ebivision, is a fixed-screen shooter in the style of Megamania. Brian Prescott’s Vault Assault is based on the 1980 arcade game Space Zap: you sit in a vault in the middle of the screen and fend off ships attacking from four sides. Andrew Davie’s Qb, released by XYPE, is a puzzle-action game he first wrote for the Atari 800 computer in 1984.
