Gameplay

In Spider Fighter you move a blaster along the bottom of the screen and shoot upward at swarms of attackers. Three pieces of fruit sit in the upper corner of the screen, and certain enemies, called master nests, try to grab one and carry it off the left edge. Shoot a nest and it drops the fruit. The game ends when all your fruit is stolen or all your blasters are destroyed. The original also offers an option where your shots follow the blaster’s sideways movement after firing, so you can steer them.

Bit Corporation also released original games of its own, such as Bobby Is Going Home and Snail Against Squirrel. If you want the original Activision release with its documented history and reviews, play Spider Fighter, linked below.
