SwordQuest: FireWorld is the second installment in the SwordQuest series for Atari 2600 and shares many similarities with its predecessor, EarthWorld. In FireWorld, you explore different rooms, collect and drop items, complete action stages to find more items, and discover sets of numbers that flash on the screen when you have the correct combination of items in the appropriate rooms.
These sets of numbers, such as 16-4, correspond to a page number and panel number in the comic book that was included with the game. Players would search the indicated page for a hidden word within the specified panel. Once all the correct words were found, they could be submitted to Atari as part of the SwordQuest contest that the game was designed around.
The gameplay in FireWorld focuses on exploration, puzzle-solving, and completing action stages, all while players search for hidden words in the comic book to win the contest.
