Publisher: Zellers

Zellers was a Canadian department store chain, not a game developer. It sold a group of Taiwanese-made Atari 2600 cartridges under its own titles, and most of them were unlicensed copies of games by Activision, Imagic, Atari and others, sold without the original publishers’ permission. The game inside each one is usually the original with little or nothing changed. The site has nine of these cartridges, including:

Ocean City Defender: Imagic’s Atlantis with a few cosmetic changes.
Dragon Treasure: a copy of Imagic’s Dragonfire.
Busy Police: Activision’s Keystone Kapers under a new name.
Earth Attack: Atari’s Defender, with only a few dozen bytes changed.
Farmer Dan: a copy of U.S. Games’ Gopher.
Laser Volley: Imagic’s Laser Gates.

The list also holds Space Adventure (Flash Gordon), Radar (Sancho’s Exocet) and Inca Gold. Play any of them below in your browser.
