Atari 2600 Sea Hunt is an exciting underwater adventure game where players assume the role of a treasure hunter, diving into the depths of the ocean to recover the riches from a sunken Spanish galleon. The game is filled with danger, as players must navigate their way through waters infested with man-eating fish and vicious sea monsters.
With only 60 seconds of oxygen for each dive, players must use their harpoon gun to fend off the man-eating fish and gain access to the sunken ship. There, they will find three treasure chests filled with gold doubloons and pieces of eight. However, they must also be wary of the sea monsters guarding the treasure, as these creatures are determined to protect their domain and destroy any intruders.
Players should avoid getting too close to the sticky walls of the treasure ship, as they risk becoming trapped in the underwater wreckage. Sea Hunt offers one-player gameplay with four game variations and two levels of difficulty, providing players with a thrilling and challenging experience as they dive deep into the ocean in search of hidden treasures.
