How to play Eddy Langfinger online
- Move the thief: arrow keys
- Fire button: Space bar
- Climb to another floor: jump up under an access hole and press the up arrow to throw your grappling hook
- Start a new game: F12 (the console’s Reset switch)
About this version
The goal is to collect enough loot before time runs out, then climb to the roof, where a helicopter waits to fly you away. Purple access holes take you from floor to floor, the dogs can be jumped over, and the guard costs you a life if he catches you in front of a window. Time left on the clock when you escape earns bonus points. The full rules are on the A Mysterious Thief page.
The game was long thought to be a European original by Suntek, which sold it as Criminal Pursuit. It is now believed to be an American game from Zimag or Vidco, and Quelle’s German cartridge is one of several European releases of it. The programmer is not known.
