How to play Extra Terrestrials online
The game is for two players only, so you need a friend at the same keyboard.
- Alien (player 1): arrow keys, fire = Space
- Ranger (player 2): T/F/G/H, fire = A
- Choose one of four aliens: F11 (Select)
- Start the game: F12 (Reset)
Gameplay
The alien player searches for an invisible friend and scores by eating dropped candy while staying away from the Ranger. Finding the friend plays a victory tune. The Ranger tries to catch the aliens by touching them as quickly as possible.
History
The Canadian family behind the game wanted to join the video game boom, but finished it after the 1983 crash. Only about 100 cartridges were reportedly made and sold locally, door to door. The game was unknown to collectors until it resurfaced in 2011, and only a handful of original copies are known.
