K.O. Cruiser (PAL)

K.O. Cruiser is a first-person boxing game for the Atari 2600 by homebrew programmer Devin D. Cook, released on cartridge by AtariAge in 2010. You fight your way through six cartoon opponents towards the Gold Belt. This page runs the PAL60 build of the game. You can play it here in your browser.

About the PAL60 version

AtariAge released K.O. Cruiser in two TV formats. PAL60 was meant for European PAL televisions that can show a 60 Hz picture, so the game runs at the same speed as the American NTSC version, with colours encoded for PAL sets. The gameplay is the same in both. Our emulator has no separate PAL60 mode and treats a 60 Hz picture as NTSC, so the colours here may look different from the real thing. How to play K.O. Cruiser online

  • Move forward and back: up and down arrow keys
  • Move sideways, or dodge a punch: left and right arrow keys
  • Left and right punch: hold Space and press the left or right arrow key
  • Guard: hold Space and press the up or down arrow key
  • Get up after a knockdown: tap Space as fast as you can
  • Start a new game: F12 (the consoleā€™s Reset switch)
