Lady Bug

Lady Bug is a 2006 homebrew version of Universal's 1981 arcade maze game, written for the Atari 2600 by John W. Champeau of Champ Games. You steer a ladybird around a garden maze, eating flowers, hearts and letters while other insects chase you, and you can swing the maze's gates to shut them out. This page runs the PAL60 build of the cartridge. You can play it here in your browser.

About the PAL60 version

Champ Games made Lady Bug in two TV formats. The PAL60 build was meant for European PAL televisions that can show a 60 Hz picture, so it runs at the same speed as the American NTSC version, with colours encoded for PAL sets. The game itself is the same. Our emulator has no separate PAL60 mode and treats a 60 Hz picture as NTSC, so the colours on this page may look different from a real PAL television. If they look odd, play the NTSC page, which also explains the gameplay and the history of the game in more detail.
